My name is Gosia, and I have worked in the cleaning industry for eight years. I currently work with Mrs Buckét as the onsite cleaning manager at Hugh James in Cardiff.
It’s a beautiful location with fantastic offices, and I take great pride in the difference we can make as a cleaning team. There’s something really rewarding about seeing the results of our hard work at the end of every shift.
My typical working day starts at 5pm and finishes at 9pm. Alongside supporting my team, I focus on ensuring the canteen areas are cleaned and maintained to a really high standard.
For me, being a supervisor is also about the people. I have a great relationship with my team, and it’s important to me that they are happy at work, feel supported and understand what is expected of them each day. I have high expectations when it comes to standards, but we work together as a team to achieve them.
One of my proudest achievements has been seeing just how much our standards have improved. Working alongside our manager and the client, we identified the areas where we could do better and made small adjustments to the way we worked.
Those small changes have made a huge difference.
Our audit score has increased from 76.80% to an incredible 98.89%. I’m really proud of what the team has achieved. It shows what can happen when everyone works together, listens to feedback and focuses on continually improving.
One of the things I value most about working for Mrs Buckét is knowing that we have what we need to do our jobs well and feeling secure and supported in our roles.
And my goal for the future? To make sure every audit is just as good as the last one, if not even better!
