Katy’s journey into accounting began in the storage and warehousing sector, where she took on a part-time Accounts Assistant role with no prior experience. Over 2 years, she built a solid foundation in finance and accounting, developing her skills and confidence. Now working as a full-time accounts assistant at Mrs Buckét, she’s taken on a broader range of responsibilities and is excited about the opportunities ahead.
In her current role, Katy plays a key part in managing finance activities, working closely with teams across the business to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations. She’s passionate about contributing ideas and supporting ongoing improvements to keep accounts processes efficient, accurate, and flexible as the business grows. Katy takes pride in being detail-oriented, reliable, and always ready to help wherever she’s needed most.
Katy believes that strong teamwork and a supportive environment are key to success. As she puts it, “Great work happens when people feel appreciated. That’s why I love working somewhere that values what each person brings to the table.”
With a recently completed accounting degree and a predicted first-class result, Katy brings both academic knowledge and real-world experience to the team. She’s driven by the feeling that her work matters and contributes to something bigger.
Outside the office, Katy enjoys all things creative—from crocheting and knitting, to painting, singing, and playing the piano. She’s always keen to learn new creative skills and loves getting stuck into hands-on projects.”
