Our event at GE Aerospace’s Nantgarw site brings together leaders from across Welsh manufacturing to explore how sustainability can be embedded into every part of business from operations and infrastructure to innovation and talent development.

Together, they uncovered how their organisations are leading the way in sustainable manufacturing.
David Hoare shared how GE Aerospace is embedding sustainable practices into its operations and building a resilient talent pipeline to support future growth.
Rachel Morath shared insight into Dow’s transformation journey, showing how the company is rethinking processes and supply chains to drive a more sustainable future.
Jackie Pearson outlined Shotton Mill’s ambitious decarbonisation plans. The site already recycles more than 830,000 tonnes of paper each year and is investing in wind, solar, hydrogen generation and anaerobic digestion, all powered by 100% recycled raw materials.
Leighton John discussed how The Royal Mint has evolved beyond coin production to lead in sustainable precious metal recovery. Their Local Energy Centre now powers the 38-acre site in Llantrisant through wind, solar and battery storage.
Simon Pritchard calls on the manufacturing community to share knowledge and best practice. Philtronics is already cutting its carbon footprint through solar energy and electric vehicle infrastructure and Simon emphasised that collective action is key to reaching sustainability goals.
