Why Clean Schools Matter: Hearing Directly from the Pupils We Support

When people think about school cleaning services, conversations often focus on hygiene standards, safety, and maintaining a positive learning environment. But there is one group whose opinion is rarely asked for: the pupils themselves.

Recently, we visited Stanwell Secondary School to do exactly that.

We caught up with four fantastic pupils to hear their thoughts on the cleaning team that helps keep their school clean, safe, and welcoming every day. It was a great opportunity to understand what matters most to the people who use the school environment day in and day out.

At Mrs Buckét, we believe that pupils are our customers too. While we work closely with school leadership teams and facilities managers, the students are the people who spend the most time in the spaces we help maintain. Their experience matters, and ensuring they feel comfortable, supported, and proud of their school environment is something we take seriously.

Creating the Right Environment for Learning

A clean school is about much more than appearance. Clean classrooms, corridors, bathrooms, and communal spaces help create an environment where pupils can focus on learning, feel safe, and enjoy their time at school.

When schools are well maintained, it contributes to pupil wellbeing, supports positive behaviours, and creates a more welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through the doors each day.

Our cleaning teams work hard behind the scenes to make this happen, often before the school day begins or long after it has ended. Their commitment helps ensure that pupils and staff arrive each day to a clean and comfortable environment.

What the Pupils Had to Say

One of the most rewarding parts of our visit was hearing directly from the pupils themselves.
