Business Is Booming For Welsh Cleaning Company

Welsh Cleaning Company

The commercial and domestic cleaning company, set up by award-winning entrepreneur Rachael Flanagan, is booming after reporting record growth in 2015.

Mrs Bucket, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, grew by 52 percent last year, with turnover reaching £2.5 million.

Each of the company’s offices and divisions has witnessed significant growth during the last year with several high profile contract wins including S.A Brains, Hugh James, SPTS, Stratstone Jaguar and Stratstone Landrover.

The record results come hot off the heels of the company’s first foray across the bridge, with a fourth office in Bristol opened during the tail end of the year.

Rachael said “I am thrilled with the progress we made last year and I have big plans for further expansion of the business. Opening the Bristol office has been a natural progression and I’ve always wanted to do it.

“Now is the right time as we have the right infrastructure in place to allow us to focus on this new marketplace. We hope to hire 50 new staff for the Bristol office over the next year, and to offer cleaning services across the city, Gloucester and the south West.”

Rachael, who was crowned ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the 2015 Entrepreneur Wales Awards, set up Mrs Bucket when she was 18 with just £20 which she spent on promotional flyers.

Over the past ten years, she has grown the company from a domestic cleaning company to a full-service cleaning company with offices in Swansea, Cardiff, Newport and Bristol, 300 employees and over 250 domestic and commercial clients.

With constant investment into new technologies to enhance its offering to clients and its very high standards of service, the business has seen client retention rates remain at 98 per cent for the past five years.

Despite all of the success the company has had in the last year, Rachael is not resting on her laurels with aspirations to grow turnover to £3.3 million this year. She continued: “We want to grow the company by 50 per cent again this year, with growth across the whole business. My goal is for Mrs Bucket to be a national cleaning company, and a household name. We want to be known as the Marks & Spencer of the cleaning market.

“We enjoy working with companies that understand that having a clean office is vital for them, and this has helped to add to our success and allow us to expand. We have been adding to our team by hiring extra divisional managers that report to me. This has allowed me to focus on business development, and the overall strategy and direction for the business. I can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store.”
