Commercial cleaning company, Mrs. Buckét has been announced ‘Business of the Year’ finalist in the Welsh Women’s Awards.

Mrs Buckét Cleaning Services, based in Swansea, was started by Rachael Flanagan when she was just 18 years old. She couldn’t even afford a Hoover when she started the business, but now it’s worth £3.5 million and she employs over 250 staff.

Speaking about the firm’s nomination, Rachael Flanagan, Founder & Managing Director of Mrs. Buckét Commercial Cleaning said: “I’m delighted that the business and our team have been recognised as a finalist in the Welsh Women’s Awards for a second year running. We won ‘Business of the Year’ last year and it was a fantastic accolade for our team.

“We’ve set out ambitious plans for this year and beyond. New services, customer growth and acquisitions will contribute to our 2025 target of £8m turnover.”

“Mrs. Buckét is more than a cleaning business and I’m passionate about challenging the perception of the industry. We’re investing in technology innovations, a new fleet of vans and operating efficiencies this year to ensure our clients and team get the best experience possible.”

The Welsh Women’s Awards 2019 aim to acknowledge and celebrate the success of women entrepreneurs, businesswomen, professionals, civil servants, women in uniform, charity workers and many more that contribute in making Wales a greater place to live in. The awards embody the continuing strength, grit and determination of women, honouring those who continue to thrive, excelling them at the forefront of their industries.
