We are really pleased to announce that we have secured our largest commercial contract to date, with a comprehensive school in Swansea.
Mrs Bucket has won the commercial cleaning contract for Olchfa Comprehensive School, the second largest comprehensive school in Wales.
Our domestic and commercial cleaning business, which has offices in Swansea, Cardiff and Newport, landed the six figure cleaning contract after demonstrating our skill and expertise in a competitive tender against companies from across South Wales.
We will now be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning of the school, which is home to over 1,900 pupils.
Kim Hurlow, our area manager, said: We’re delighted to have won the contract with Olchfa Comprehensive School as it is a fantastic opportunity for our team. Educational establishments have particular requirements when it comes to their cleanliness, which is especially true for Olchfa as it has such a large number of students so maintaining a clean environment is essential to their health and wellbeing. As a result, we conduct regular spot checks to ensure the areas are being thoroughly cleaned consistently.”
Rachael Flanagan, managing director at Mrs Bucket, said: “Winning the Olchfa Comprehensive School contract as a massive achievement for Mrs Bucket as it is our largest contract to date. The education sector is a real focus in our business development strategy.
“This is our second school to come on board but is our largest contract to date and will require 19 cleaners per day to fulfil the cleaning needs. We’re well placed to provide cleaning solutions to the education market as all of our staff are CRB checked as a matter of course. We’re hoping the experience will help us win future contracts in this target market.”
Rachael Flanagan founded Mrs Bucket in Swansea in 2005 with just £20, which she spent on promotional flyers. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength, doubling its turnover in 2012, growing by 114 per cent. It also secured a record-breaking £130,000 worth of new contracts in September 2013, while still retaining a 98 per cent customer retention rate.
We currently has more than 250 clients across South Wales, which are served by 160 cleaners. To ensure the highest quality, Rachael runs an in-house cleaning academy and has also created a bespoke software system to boost efficiency.
