How To Clean Your Kitchen In 10 Minutes (Or Less!)

Keeping your kitchen clean can sometimes feel like a never-ending job but there are actually some quick cleaning tips that mean you can clean it in 10 minutes- or less!

To do this, we recommend that you put aside 10 minutes of dedicated cleaning time and be focussed with what you want to achieve. These tips won’t give you a kitchen that has been deep cleaned but it is a great exercise to do daily as it will ensure that you kitchen never gets unmanageable.

Step 1: Get all your products and cloths together

This is a very important step as it will mean that you can clean a lot quicker. Make sure that you have all the appropriate products to hand so that you don’t have to waste precious time sourcing the items you need to clean.

Step 2: Put all your rubbish in the bin

By just doing a quick check of the kitchen and throwing away any rubbish, you will soon see a remarkable difference in your kitchen. By removing rubbish this also means you can clean without any obstructions.

Step 3: Put everything away in the cupboards

To clean properly you need to make sure that everything is tidied away so that you can clean easily. By putting away the things that are cluttering the surfaces this will immediately make the kitchen look tidier.

Step 4: Fill your washing up bowl with warm soapy water

Once everything on the surfaces has been removed, find all your dirty dishes in the kitchen (and elsewhere in the house) and put them in your washing up bowl to soak.

Step 5: Wipe down surfaces

Whilst your dishes are soaking, use the time wisely and wipe down all your surfaces. Use a disinfectant and a clean cloth and your surfaces will be sparkling in no time. If you have a few minutes to spare you can also clean your microwave and give the hob a clean.

Step 6: Wash up your dishes by hand or use the washing machine

Next, wash the dishes that have been soaking. This can either be done by hand or by loading them into the dishwasher. The dishwasher should already be empty but if you forget to do it in the morning, this can be done during Step 4.

Step 7: Sweep, mop or vacuum the floor

Depending on how dirty the kitchen floor is, now is the right time to give it a quick sweep, mop or vacuum. Make sure that if you mop the floor that you leave enough time for it to dry, as otherwise it will become dirty again.

Step 8: Take the bins out

At the beginning of this cleaning process you will have filled up your bin with rubbish, so remember to take it out and replace the bin with a fresh liner. This will ensure that your kitchen does not smell of nasty odours.

Step 9: Add a clean tea towel

You have nearly finished your speedy kitchen clean and it is important to add some finishing touches. By removing a dirty tea towel and adding a clean one this will definitely make your kitchen feel fresher.
